Racial Reconciliation Ministry

Our ministry creates a platform for storytelling around race, justice, equality, equity, and reconciliation available for all people as we walk in the path of Jesus. To pray, educate, and advocate for those who need assistance in this area. Defend the poor and fatherless. Do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy. Rid them out of the hand of the wicked. Psalm 82:3-4

Ministry Leader, Deaconess Eleanor Holder-Elcock Parker

We envision healthy churches where equality, equity and justice are available for all people through reconciling with Jesus, self, and others. To assist our congregation and other congregations to begin the internal work of transforming into a congregation that is more Jesus centered, and one that loves thy neighbor as thyself.

Goals:

  • To provide spiritual, psychological, and educational information in a compassionate manner pertaining to race, equity, justice, and reconciliation.
  • To promote a clearer understanding of Jesus’ teachings and demonstrate His love for all of humanity.
  • “In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends”. Martin Luther King, Jr.

  • Book Club & Discussion
  • Guided Prayer & Bible Study
  • Church Life
  • Collaboration with other race, equality, equity, and reconciliation ministries
  • Movie & Discussion Night
